About Us

Sandfields Guesthouse is owned and managed by Paul Liechti, Jean Downing (Liechti) & Richard Downing. Paul and Jean have both been in the Namibian tourism industry for 16 years. 

Paul has traveled to every corner of the country and other countries in southern and northern Africa as a result of his work as a tour guide the past 16 years.  His knowledge and experience of Namibia are extensive. 

Jean's experience in tourism is varied and includes tour guide, tour operator, chairlady of the Tour and Safari Association of Namibia for 2 years and completing a City & Guilds Hospitality Management Course in Cape Town. 

Richard, with his architectural influence, adds a creative flair and also has experience in the entertainment industry, having been the creator and first owner of the famous Tiger Reef Beach Bar in Swakopmund.
